Our Story
We have a rich history, proven track record, consistently reach award-winning milestones, and over the years have often been the first gym in Ireland to introduce the latest health and fitness equipment, technology, and innovations in the country. 1991
We First Opened
Westpark Fitness is a privately owned Irish business which originally opened in 1991 in the Village Green in Tallaght.
Award Winning
2013
Adding to our collection of awards and achievements, we received the award from Ireland Active for Outstanding Facility in Dublin in 2013.
Greenest Club In Ireland
2019
Partnership with SEAI to make us one of the most environmentally friendly clubs in the country by introducing the latest in heating and cooling pumps, air handling units, electric car charge ports and more.
Aquatic Additions
2022
Introduced virtual aqua fitness class with Hydrohex to Ireland - another Westpark Fitness first. This on demand aqua aerobics / fitness program has become one of the most successful programs in Westpark Fitness and fits in nicely with our live aqua fitness classes held seven days a week.
Premium Palladium
2022
Westpark Fitness becomes the first gym in the country to add the TRUE Fitness Palladium suite of pin-loaded machines to the gym floor. This state-of-the-art equipment offers a more comfortable and ergonomic experience to members.
Glute Gains
2023
Westpark Fitness was proud to launch the first Booty Lab in the country to our gym floor in 2023 - a dedicated area of world-class equipment from the Booty Builder brand aimed at giving effective fast results to the lower body.
Charity Return Scheme
2024
With the bottle and can recycle scheme being introduced in Ireland; we added dedicated bins to the gym floor where members could leave their finished bottles and cans. Collecting these all throughout the year, Westpark Fitness then donates the total amount raised from each returned bottle and can to a charity as a donation on behalf of our members.
New Plunge Pool
2025
At the start of the year, we installed a brand-new stainless steel cold plunge pool on the pool deck. Holding up to six people at once, this adds to our health / recovery suite of options here at Westpark Fitness which also includes our stainless-steel swimming pool, jacuzzi and separate male and female saunas and steam rooms too!
Ireland's First Glute Qualification
2025
We hosted Ireland's first Glute Accreditation Course with three of Norway’s top experts in this field - attended by clubs from all over Ireland and the UK! Our Booty Lab area is fully equipped with the world-class Booty Builder equipment to target and train all things glutes, making it the ideal place to host this course. Look out for two more new great Booty Builder machines coming before the end of the year, we will be the first club in the world to showcase these!
Ireland's First Air Purified Changing Rooms
2026
In yet another first for Westpark Fitness, we became the first gym in Ireland to introduce air purification and air disinfection to our changing rooms with three Novaerus Protect devices each in both the ladies’ and gent’s changing rooms. This is the same technology used by the Leinster Rugby team, Denver Broncos, PGA and more - capturing 99.99% of airborne pollutants and preventing them from remaining in circulation in our changing rooms.

Bigger and Better!
2005
In 2005 we expanded to a new state-of-the-art purpose-built building offering a prestigious level of facilities and services to the people of Tallaght.
First with Technology
2018
We were the first fitness facility in Ireland to recognise the advantages of using fitness tracker wearables to achieve better results. The Myzone fitness tracker was introduced to Ireland through Westpark Fitness and today over 2,000 members avail of this results-based technology.
Constant Innovation
2021
We were the first in Ireland to introduce the Ciclozone group training program for indoor cycling. This has become the gold standard of indoor cycling programs - giving members fast and permanent results.
Exquisite Equipment
2022
We were the first in Ireland to introduce Total Gym ELEVATE rowers and the Gungnir of Norway barbell with built-in collars. In fact our Reel of this barbell went viral to the tune of 1.7m views and 72k likes, making it by far the most successful piece of social media content from a gym in Ireland in 2022!
A Brighter Future
2023
This year we undertook a massive solar panel project - practically covering the entire roof of our facility with solar panels. This gave us a A+ BER rating which is the highest possible to achieve.
Virtual Gym Space
2024
In the summer of 2024 we launched our new TechnoGym Virtual Gym - bringing a whole new training element to the club! This is in a dedicated area beside the class studio, with four individual screens and stations so members can complete guided classes and workouts on demand with all the equipment they need here too!
Outstanding Leisure Winner
2024
At the Ireland Active Conference & National Quality Standard (NQS) Awards, Westpark Fitness won the award for Outstanding Leisure 2025! As we keep our standards consistently high, we also won this award in 2024 and 2023 . . . and 2022 . . . and 2021 . . .
Meet Bella Bot
2025
We became the very first gym in Ireland to have a robot team member with the introduction of Bella to Westpark Fitness! Bella roams around the gym floor and is equipped with paper towels, cleaning spray and a bin basket so that members have even more convenient ways to clean down their equipment after use. She also has display screens so we can keep members up-to-date with our latest news and events too.
Ireland Active Award
2025
At the Ireland Active National Quality Standard Awards, our very own Lizzie won National Staff Member of the Year! To be clear, this is not just a Westpark Fitness award; it means she was chosen by Ireland Active as the best staff member in all of Ireland this year! What an amazing and well-deserved achievement for the amazing Lizzie - are any of us really surprised though!
